Nether Portal Gold + XP Farm

XP + gold, no spawner needed, great early/mid game

easy

This one exploits a quirk specific to portals: the portal block surface itself counts as a valid, elevated-rate spawn point for zombified piglins. Wrap a small chamber tightly around an isolated portal, built high in open Nether sky away from any terrain, and you get a steady stream of piglins from a much smaller footprint than a full magma-block gold farm.

A redstone clock wired to break and reform the portal (usually a piston disrupting the obsidian frame, then flint and steel or a leftover corner reigniting it) keeps triggering fresh spawn checks against that surface, rather than relying on ambient spawns near one static, unchanging portal.

Piglins get funneled with trapdoors and a short water chute, same as a normal gold farm, down to a kill point. Worth calling out the trident-killer setup specifically: a dispenser loaded with a Riptide trident, triggered when a mob's in range, launches the trident through for a one-hit kill and it flies back to the dispenser afterward. Low-maintenance, no ammo to restock.

The main appeal over a full gold farm is just size. It doesn't need a giant magma platform or the same extreme build height, which matters a lot on Bedrock specifically, where world height and the Nether ceiling differ from Java in ways that make traditional max-height gold farms awkward to fit.

Since you're still farming zombified piglins, the output is the same kind of thing, gold nuggets, rotten flesh, XP, just at a lower rate for a much easier build. Reasonable as a first gold farm before you're ready to commit to the full-scale version.
